When I contacted the company about the damage I was told that since the post office damaged the order they were not responsible however, they would reimburse me this time. I ordered a Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book. The post office damaged it during shipping. I feel it is their responsibility to insure the package since they are the sender. I will be very hesitant in ordering in the future.
I have been looking all over for a cookbook with good recipes. I've been buying new cookbooks only to keep going on line to find good recipes for making cakes or Pies from Scratch. I've finallly found a really good cookbook.
I enjoy reading new recipes and varying them at times. I have 3 copies of this cookbook and recently bought this one for my 2nd home. I find it so dependable in my needs for cooking. Haven't found one I like better for a basic cook book. Love it.
I wouldn't have bought it had I known this. Fortunately, I still have my old copy.
It was perfect, full of all of the best basic recipes and simple to make - perfect for a novice. I have loved it and used it as my go-to cookbook for 22 years.I noticed the new version had lots of newer, more modern takes on various dishes as well as nutritional info (very helpful).
My mom bought me my first copy of this cookbook in 1988, when I first moved away from home. I was underwhelmed.
- but alas, the recipes were overall a disappointment. Simple recipes were over-complicated, more challenging dishes used too many processed ingredients.
But I think they needed to do more careful recipe editing of this updated classic. (note: this is for the NEW limited edition version of prize-winning recipes).
I bought this for my niece who is moving out on her own she loved it and so did I. The size is great compared to the older versions. I am thinking about ordering me one of these too.Tracy
